“Me enorgullece anunciar públicamente que soy gay. Ha recorrido un viaje hasta llegar a este punto de mi vida, pero no puedo estar más feliz con mi decisión de salir del armario“, anunció en sus redes sociales Cavallo, de 21 años e internacional con las categorías inferiores de la selección australiana.
El jugador, que ha recibido el apoyo público tanto de su club, Adelaide United, y otros clubes, como de la Federación Australiana, reconoció que hasta ahora estaba obligado a “enmascarar los sentimientos para encajar en el molde del futbolista profesional”.
